Committee Meeting 2/20
The second committee meeting of 2020 will be held outdoors at Guys & Hylton in the vicinity of the Veg Box/Trading Shed. This will be an open meeting and members are welcome to come along to listen to the proceedings, but please notify the Secrertary in advance.
N.B. Since social distancing standards will apply - and since we have limited outdoor space/chairs for this meeting - it may not be possible to offer chairs to visitors, nor a convenient standing position, close enough for visitors to listen with ease.
Annual Show (St Thomas Allotments Assn.)
The Association’s Annual Show for produce, flowers, cakes and many other categories ,was to have taken place once again this summer at St Thomas Church Hall, Exeter. However, due to the Covid-19 lockdown etc., it has not proved possible to organise this. Please ask your site rep for any further updates.
Food Bank Project
Community project during the Covid-19 pandemic to make use of unsold potatoes at the two allotment trading sheds by planting these and harvesting them for delivery to Exeter Food charities. Extended by a project to harvest allotment fruits to make jam for Exeter Food charities. For updates and photos please visit the Association’s Facebook site.

This will be the second committee meeting of the 2019-20 year; these are usually held at The Royal Oak, Okehampton Road, Exeter.
As this is an open meeting, members who are not on the committee are welcome to come along and sit nearby to listen quietly to the topics discussed.

All elected committee positions are open for nominations (i.e. Site Reps for let and check at each allotment site & the executive group comprising a Chair, Treasurer, Trading Manager, and Secretary) . Please send in your name stating the position you would like to be elected to, and ask your proposer and seconder to also email/write to the Secretary.

Book & Plant Sale @ Exeter St Thomas Library 5th May 2019
For the annual book and plant sale you are welcome to come along to the sales event at Exeter St Thomas Library on Sunday 5th May from 11am to 1pm.
Exwick Blossom Day
12.30 lunchtime - picnic in the Flow Orchard: Bring a picnic and eat it with friends and neighbours beneath the cherry blossom. Access orchard from Station Road zebra crossing. Head north to Exwick Mill Field. | 2pm - plant free sunflower seeds: Planting & games at Station Road Playground. | 3pm - cream tea & music: Exwick Parish Hall with music from Exwick Heights Primary School choir.
